FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY:
WHY JOIN?


  1. A Friend of the Library supports one of our community's greatest assets.

  2. A Friend of the Library is giving back, in small part, what he or she has received from use of the public library.

  3. A Friend of the Library receives membership privileges including, but not limited to, early entrance to the Friends' book sale, home delivery of the Friends' newsletter, and reduced admission to events sponsored by the Friends.

  4. Strategic partners of the Friends will receive recognition throughout the membership year in the Friends' newsletter and other printed or online materials published by the Friends.

Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library (the "Corporation") is a Texas non-profit corporation. Upon request of a member of the Corporation, its articles of incorporation and bylaws are available for inspection during reasonable public hours of the Jacksonville Public Library, Jacksonville, Texas. Friends has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service for nonprofit status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. Contributions to Friends may therefore be tax deductible to the donor. Each person should consult his or her tax advisor concerning this issue.
